This scan provides a full 3D body image, body fat % using a DXA correlated algorithm, precise body measurements, body shape wellness scoring, body weight, body composition and a posture/balance analysis.

View your data from any device. The cloud software calculates and tracks where you have lost or gained inches through multiple scans. You can also share your data with your fitness coach/trainer, nutritionist, and doctor.

The Fit3D Body Scanner uses non-invasive infrared light technology.

Fit3D Body Scan Procedure & Dress Requirements

  1. Make a Fit3D Body Scan appointment online.  An appointment is recommended. Walk-ins can be done at some events.
  2. Pull hair back and up to expose your neck.
  3. Wear form fitting clothing: Yoga pants and sports bra/snug tank top for women. Briefs, boxer briefs or biker shorts for men (for best results, men are not recommended to wear a shirt during the scan).
  4. Create your profile or login if rescanning.
  5. You will stand on a turntable, holding the handles and remaining still for 40 seconds while the platform spins. Fit3D Body Scanner captures and processes precise body measurements, body fat%, body shape wellness scoring, and posture/balance analysis.
  6. Your results are uploaded into your online account and you are emailed when results are complete.
  7. The scan itself takes approximately 40 seconds. Total appointment time between 5-10 minutes.

RMR Resting Metabolic Rate Testing


The RMR test is a simple, non-invasive test that accurately measures how many calories you burn at rest in a 24 hour period. During the test, a machine captures and analyzes the composition of your breath, determining your oxygen consumption, to measure the rate at which you consume energy.The RMR test is more accurate than all formula-based RMR estimates.

RMR Test Procedure & Requirements

  1. Make an RMR appointment online. An appointment is required for this test.
  2. Refrain from exercising for at least 12 hours before the test. 
  3. Refrain from eating for at least 4 hours, and using caffeine or nicotine for at least 6 hours before the test.
  4. You will be invited to recline in a comfortable position.  You will be fitted for a face mask that covers your nose and mouth. You will be breathing in air from the room, but the gas that you breathe out will go into the metabolic analyzer to measure your metabolic rate.  Relax and close your eyes during the test.  It is important that all the air you breathe out is analyzed.  In just 20 minutes, your metabolic rate will be measured and printed. 
  5. Total appointment time of approximately 30 minutes including consultation.

VO2 Max Cardio Fitness Test


VO2 max measures your level of cardiovascular fitness, aerobic endurance, and anaerobic threshold.  The test will capture your max heart rate, and provide information on your body's unique tendencies to burn fat versus carbohydrates at different exercise intensities.  Track improvements in cardiovascular fitness over a training period and/or know where to keep your heart rate to maximize the amount of fat you burn.

VO2 Max Cardio Fitness Test Procedure & Requirements

  1. Make an appointment online. An appointment is required for this test.
  2. Refrain from smoking and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before the test. Additionally, avoid food and caffeine for at least 4 hours.
  3. Wear comfortable athletic attire, running shoes, and bring a towel. You'll start the test by walking to warm up. Then, the administrator will carefully and gradually increase the intensity of the test, using either speed or incline, until you are running at maximum effort, at which point the test is terminated. You will wear a heart rate strap and a mask.  The volume of expired air along with the percentages of oxygen and carbon dioxide will be calculated. Results are printed and discussed.
  4. Testing time is between 7-15 minutes. Total appointment time is approximately 30 minutes including consultation.
